Pakistan down India 2-1 in SAFF U-15 championship

Pakistan U-15 football team stunned India U-15 team by snatching 2-1 victory from the jaws of the arch-rivals in the SAFF U-15 championship on Thursday.

The men in green looked a bit shaky as immense counter-attacking from the opponents made their defenders nervous.

But Adnan Justin scored on 36th minute scored for the green shirts to give much needed confidence to his team.

The 1-0 lead put India under-pressure but their forwards were in good nick and trying to score an equalizer.

The first half was ended 1-0 in favor of Pakistan but the men in blue returned strongly in the second half with strong planning.

Just seven minutes later to the second half, Thlachai made the most of an easy chance as he struck the ball from left into the nets which deceived the opponent’s goal keeper.

Pakistan then on 85th minute, doubled their lead and held it till the final bell rang.

Pakistan will now clash swords with Bhutan in their next match of the tournament.

Earlier, Brazilian’s veteran footballer Ricardo Kaka through a video message wished good luck to Pakistan team for winning their match.

“Hello guys, this is Ricardo Kaka and I am here to wish Pakistan U-15 football team a very good luck ahead of their match against India,” Kaka stated in the video.

Kaka asked the young Pakistani kids to be at their best and try to play with positive mindset to achieve good results.

“You [Pakistan team] need to play positive game and try to not give up till the last minute, god bless you,” Kaka said.
