Pakistan lost their fourth match against top Group H team Hungary by the score of 4-1 in the second six-a-side Socca World Cup in Crete, Greece.
This was Pakistan’ fourth straight defeat in the tournament as the green shirts will travel back to the country without a single win.
Hungary, a very strong team on page, took a lead over the men in green in 6th minute with B. Hollauer scoring the goal. The early lead put pressure on Pakistani boys but a solid comeback was witnessed as Shaban scored a brilliant goal in the 17th minute.
C. Poncok managed to restore the lead in the 20th minute for Hungary followed by two back-to-back goals 31st and 34th minute respectively. The 4-1 final score-line handed yet another victory to Hungary.
Gohar Zaman, the assistant coach of the team praised his boys for showing immense courage to compete with one of the world’s top football teams.
“Being underdogs, our team performed really well. I am satisfied with they way they played against top teams. This tournament and competition level here has provided ample exposure to our players,” he said.
