Pakistan eye 11th successive T20 series win

Sarfraz Ahmed eleven will be looking to maintain their dominance in T20I as they face New Zealand in the second Twenty20 International at the Dubai International Stadium on Friday.

This will be Pakistan’s 11th straight T20 international series win if they manage to defeat black caps in today’s match.

On the other hand, New Zealand will struggle to bounce back against in-form Pakistan in a must win game. The kiwis have already shown the hosts that this series is unlikely to be similar to the one against Kangaroos. Despite the fact that the New Zealand side has combined after a seven-month let-up from international cricket.

On Wednesday, Pakistan beat New Zealand by two runs in a thrilling finish to the first Twenty20 international in Abu Dhabi.

Meanwhile, Hafeez admitted that New Zealand had sent a strong warning in the first T20.

“New Zealand always brings something new in this format and surprises you,” Hafeez said. “They were excellent on the field and took some really outstanding catches on the night.

“We have another game coming up on Friday and I believe it’s going to be another tough game. We need to really work hard and hit all the areas to win against them.”

Pakistan, who are on a roll after whitewashing Australia 3-0 in Dubai on Sunday, now have a 1-0 lead in the three-match series with the last two matches in Dubai.
