ADELAIDE: Pakistan’s bowling coach Mushtaq Ahmed has said that the green shirts are focused on beating Ireland and qualifying for the quarter final stage of the World Cup, ARYSports.tv reports.

Mushtaq Ahmed, speaking to media, said that the team’s loss to Ireland in 2007 World Cup is a thing of the past and the side is focused on turning the tables this time around.

“Good teams and players do not remember their past”, he said.

It should be noted that Pakistan will be guaranteed a spot in the quarter final stage of the mega event if they beat Ireland at Adelaide on Sunday (tomorrow).

The Irish side shocked the world by defeating the Green Shirts by three in the 2007 edition of the tournament, eliminating the Asian side in the first round of the mega event.
