Pakistan junior squash team gets warm welcome at Islamabad airport

Pakistan junior squash team was given a warm welcome when they landed in Islamabad on Tuesday after winning the Asian Junior Squash Championship.

The team beat India by 2-0 in the final of the Championship in Thailand on Sunday.

Team manager Hassan Kidwai expressed his joy on receiving such delightful welcome, “The kind of reception we have received on our return is truly heartwarming,” he said.

Farhan Hashmi and Abbas Zaib were the two finalists who steered Pakistan towards victory against the arch-rivals.

The senior vice president of the Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) Air Marshal Shahid Akhtar Ali also congratulated the team for working hard which paid for them and helped them achieve several titles for their country.

Pakistan has clinched 32 medals in last year and a half. They have got their junior players among top world rankings.
