Pakistan to leave for South Africa challenge in the early hours of December 13

Pakistan to leave for South Africa challenge tonight

Pakistan cricket team, under the leadership of Sarfraz Ahmed, will leave for South Africa tour in the early hours of December 13 via Dubai.

The majority of the players will take the flight for Dubai from Lahore, whereas the skipper Sarfraz Ahmed, opener Shan Masood and middle-order batsman Asad Shafiq will leave from Karachi.

The fastest bowler to reach 200 Test wickets, Yasir Shah will travel for the all-important series on December 20th because of some family commitments.

Pakistan will kick off the tour with a three-match Test series commencing from December 26th, followed by five ODIs series and a three-match T20I series against the Proteas.

The last time Pakistan played South Africa with the red ball in their backyard, the contests were fairly one-sided and they were white-washed in the three-match series.

However, Pakistan became the first Asian team to beat South Africa in an ODI series in their backyard when they defeated them by 2-1 in November 2013.
