The arch-rivals Pakistan and India can possibly face each other three times in Asia Cup 2018. The first extreme encounter of the tournament between India-Pakistan is all set to commence on 19th September.
The 14th edition of the tournament will kick-off from 15th September, which will be played in its old form owing to the 50-over format.
Both India and Pakistan are placed in the same group along with the yet to be decided qualifier. However, after the first face-off on September 19 in group A fixture, if India and Pakistan qualify for the Super Four round, then according to their group standings both teams will clash for the second time.
As per ICC release, Group A winner will clash against Group A runner-up in the third match of super Four round on Sunday, September 23.
The possible scenarios of the third face-off between India and Pakistan, if both the teams will manage to make it to top two teams, they would fight for the title on 28th September.
Overall, in ODI cricket, Pakistan have a good win-loss ratio against India, having won 73 and lost 52 to them, giving them a ratio of 1.40.
