Pakistan lost to Slovenia by the score of 5-1 in their opening match of the second Socca World Cup in Crete, Greece on Monday.
Making a strong start initially by scoring two goals earlier on the 6th and 12th minute, Slovenia put immense pressure on the green shirts. A. Malivojevic and J. Kandare scored the goals for their team.
The 23rd minute brought a breakthrough for Pakistan as Muhammad Ali reduced pressure by scoring a goal to make the scoreboard 2-1.
Later the next minute, A. Sepic came up with yet another goal for Slovenia. N. Grah and J. Kandare scored a goal each on the 27th and 40th minute respectively to make the score 5-1.
Kevin Reeves, the head coach of the Pakistan team, felt immense disappointment over the team’s loss but is hopeful that his team will make a strong comeback.
“Our boys played well but unfortunately we couldn’t make it strongly. I hope that the boys will be back with more power,” he said.
