Pakistan loses to India 3-1 in Asian Champions Trophy

Pakistan lost to arch-rivals India by 3-1 after being poor with defense in the sixth match of the Asian Champions Trophy at Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex, Muscat on late Friday.

Despite scoring on the very first minute of the match, Pakistan couldn’t manage to dominate in rest of the match.

Mohammad Irfan Jr struck in the very start to start the match on a positive note for Pakistan.

India came in power later on the 24th minute when their captain Manpreet Singh single-handedly scored the goal dodging Pakistan’s defenders completely.

Then on 33rd minute Mandeep Singh came up with a convincing goal to double the lead for India and built pressure on the counterparts.

Thereafter, for a while, Pakistan looked in a rebuilding mood as they started counter-attacking but it was India’s day.

On the 42nd minute, Dilpreet Singh pushed the ball back into the nets diligently which deceived the goal-keeper completely.

India’s skipper Manpreet Singh got the man-of-the-match award for staying there for India throughout the whole match.

Pakistan will now face Oman in their third match of the tournament on October 22.
