Former Test cricketer Ramiz Raja thinks that Pakistani bowlers should plan something strong to give stiff competition to England in the upcoming matches of the ODI series.
“Our bowlers were not up to the mark. They were pitching the ball in the radar of England batsmen and it was so easy for them to flick it all around the ball,” said Ramiz.
Ramiz, who is commentating the ongoing series between Pakistan and England, criticized the team on their poor fielding. “Dropping catches on such conditions will not help you win matches. Not only one but the men in green dropped four crucial catches which showed their lackings in the fielding department,” he said.
The former cricketer praised England batsmen for making the most of their home conditions and thrashing the opponents which have a quite potent bowling attack.
“Their batsmen played with full dominance and never let Pakistani bowlers come back in the game,” Ramiz said.
Talking about Pakistan’s batters, Ramiz said that top four batsmen of Pakistan are in good touch especially the openers. “Our openers are in good form. Fakhar struck a century in second ODI then Imam crossed the 100-run mark. I think they are going well but need to carry this form in the World Cup as well,” he said.
