Pakistan ninth in ODI rankings despite Zimbabwe series win

DUBAI: Pakistan retained its ninth spot in the one day rankings despite winning the one day series 2-0 against Zimbabwe, reports.

International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the fresh one day rankings. Pakistan is at ninth place in the rankings with 87 points.

Pakistan has to beat Sri Lanka 3-2 in the upcoming one day series in order to qualify for the Champions Trophy 2017.

Australia is at top of the teams rankings followed by India and New Zealand on second and third place respectively.

Meanwhile, South Africa captain AB de Villiers leads the batsmen ODI rankings followed by Sri Lanka’s Kumar Sangakkara and Hashim Amla of the Proteas.

Pakistan captain Azhar Ali moved upto 24th place while Haris Sohail moved to 57th place.

Mitchell Starc of Australia is at top of the bowlers rankings while South Africa’s Imran Tahir and Dale Steyn are at second and third spot respectively.
