Pakistan post has issued a commemorative stamp on Thursday to honour Pakistan’s famous victory against India by 180 runs to win the final of Champions Trophy 2017 at Cardiff.
Tariq Awan, Pakistan Post’s Treasury Officer Karachi, revealed that there have been 50,000 souvenir sheets and 300,000 stamps released.

The set of three stamps cost Rs. 30, whereas, souvenir sheet is priced at Rs. 50 apiece.
Under Sarfraz Ahmed’s captaincy, Pakistan entered the multi-nation cricket event as the bottom-ranked team at eighth, they suffered a humiliating defeat against the arch-rivals India in their opening game.
However, the tables turned after the loss and they defeated South Africa, Sri Lanka and England consecutively to reach the final of the tournament.
They had to face their fierce competitor, India, in the big game. It seemed like the Men in Blue will easily dominate the Men in Green, but, it was the complete opposite.
Fakhar Zaman struck a magnificent century in the first inning that took Pakistan to a firm total of 337 runs.
When India came out to bat, Pakistan’s left-arm spearhead Mohammad Amir ran through India’s top order that made the contest one-sided.
At the end, Pakistan got India all-out for 158 runs to register a huge victory by 180 runs.
