Pakistan Cycling Federation secretary Azhar Ali Shah revealed that Pakistan will host South Asian Road Cycling Championship for the first time at the end of his year.
The federation has asked for Rs 10.5 million budget for arrangements of the race from Pakistan Sports Board. There will be cyclists from India, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Nepal and Burma competing the championship.
The secretary of the Federation further told that they want to provide fool proof security to the international cyclists and they will soon start arrangements for that.
The championship, for both male and female, will take place in December of this year in Islamabad, it will be a historic moment for Pakistan.
