Pakistan whitewash Bangladesh in women’s T20I series


Anam Amin (2-10) and Saba Nazir (2-22) helped Pakistan women whitewash Bangladesh women after they beat them by 28 runs in the third and last T20I at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore on Wednesday.

Set to chase 118 runs, Bangladesh managed to score just 89 runs for the loss of eight wickets. Nigara Sultan was the highest scorer for them with 30 runs off 44 balls.

Fargana Hoque made 27 runs off 26 balls with the help of four boundaries.

Earlier, opener Javeria Khan played brilliantly for Pakistan. She made 54 runs off 48 balls with the help of seven boundaries. Umaima Sohail scored 31 runs off 29 balls.

Jahanara Alam was the pick of the bowlers for Bangladesh with three wickets for 12 runs. Rumana Ahmed bagged two wickets.

Now both teams will play two ODIs on November 2 and 4 at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
