The former Indian Test captain insisted Indian team to not take Pakistan lightly in their upcoming clash against them in the World Cup.
“I don’t believe in records as I think the best team on the field will clinch the match. Both teams have to play quality cricket,” he said.
India’s former great batsman Saurav Ganguly highly rated Pakistan to win the upcoming World Cup keeping in mind their strong record in England.
“They [Pakistan] are so strong in English conditions. They have clinched a couple of multi-nation tournament in England which gave them an edge over other teams. Pakistan is unpredictable and can give stiff competition,” said Ganguly.
Ganguly also named his top-four teams in the World Cup which includes England, Australia, India, and Pakistan.
It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan will play their first match in World Cup against West Indies on May 31 at Trent Bridge. The high-octane clash between India and Pakistan is scheduled on July 16.
