Pakistan women registered another convincing win against Bangladesh by seven wickets in a game played on Saturday at Cox’s Bazar, winning the four-match series 3-0.
Bangladesh women won the toss and elected to bat first. Once again, the hosts batting tumbled and only two batters could score in double figures.
Rumana Ahmed and Fatima Khatoon remained the prominent scorers for Bangladesh with 24 and 14 runs respectively, which took the hosts to a below par total of 77 runs.
Natalia Parvez, who was playing her ninth T20I, stood out for Pakistan with three wickets to her name for 20 runs. Experienced campaigner, Sana Mir and Diana Baig struck twice in the inning, while Nida Dar and Anam took one wicket apiece.
Pakistan did not have an ideal start with their opener Ayesha Zafar falling cheaply after scoring 4 runs. But, the skipper Javeria Khan and Nahida Khan put on 34 runs together, which took the game away from Bangladesh women completely.
Nahida Khan got out after scoring 17 runs, while the skipper played a handy inning of 36.
Pakistan reached the target in 14.5 overs with seven wickets in hand as Muneeba Ali and Aliya Riaz remained not out on 18 and 0.
Pakistan sealed the four-match T20I series 3-0 despite the absence of their seasoned batswoman and captain Bismah Maroof.
The first game of the series got abandoned, Pakistan won the second match by 55 runs, while they won the last two matches by seven wickets each.
The only ODI of the series between the two teams will be played on October 8.
Pakistan will then face Australia in their home series played at Malaysia from October 25.
