Pakistan’s right-arm fast bowler, Hasan Ali said in an interview with the International Cricket Council that Pakistani bowlers are working hard to perfect their yorkers.
The 24-year old mentioned that they did not bowl many yorkers in the five-match ODI series against England, which they lost 4-0, so the bowlers had a meeting with coaches and decided to work hard on the skill.
“Yorker is a weapon which we can use anywhere, in any condition and at any stage of the game, either with new ball or old ball,” said Hasan Ali.
The wickets have not been very conducive for bowlers in England so far, so teams will be looking to use varieties and also take the pitch out of the equation.
Pakistan will kick off their World Cup campaign against West Indies on May 31st at Nottingham.
