Pakistani players are not being ignored: BCB clarifies

Pakistani cricketers are not included in Asian XI vs World XI two-match T20 series due to clash in the schedule of Pakistan Super League (PSL) and this series.

A Bangladeshi journalist told ARY News’ correspondent that Pakistan players aren’t being ignored. “March 17 (birthday of Shiekh Mujeeb ur Rehman) is clashing with PSL, so that is why Pakistan players are not included in the Asian XI vs World XI matches but we are still trying to negotiate,” he quoted BCB’s stance regarding the issue.

According to some reports, the Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) has refused to include Pakistani players in the series. BCCI Joint Secretary Jayesh George had already stated that Pakistani players are not invited for the series.

It must be noted here that the series will be hosted by the BCB which will witness the celebration of birth anniversary of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the founder of Bangladesh.
