Pakistan’s boxer Mohammad Wasim will return to the ring on September 13 after a gap of almost one year, ARY News reported.
Wasim will face Philipne’s Conrado Tanamor at Caesars Palace Dubai in his first World Ranking fight of the year. Wasim last time fought against Moruti Mthalane in a world title fight in 2018 which he lost by unanimous decision.
In a video message, Wasim expressed his confidence to win the fight which will boost his rankings in world boxing charts.
“I am prepared well for the fight and I am looking forward to giving a tough time to the opponent,” said Wasim who trained under a foreign trainer Danny Vaughan in Scotland for last six to seven months.
“Vaughan has helped me a lot to get rid of my weaknesses and I have really worked hard to be prepared from every aspect,” he added.
Wasim, on the other hand, has dedicated his fight to Kashmir. “This fight is dedicated to Kashmir and I want to win it for Kashmiris,” he concluded.
