Pakistan’s contingent is confident to win IBSF World Snooker Championship

Pakistan team is confident to mark strong results in the upcoming IBSF World Snooker Championship starting from October 29 in Antalya, Turkey.

While talking to the media prior to their departure from Karachi for participating in the event, Mohammad Asif, one-time world champion, said that the preparations for the event are strong and they will try to hoist the green flag once again.

“It’s a world event and we have tried to prepare ourselves accordingly. I know the pressure of such tournament but my focus will be on winning the tournament,” said Asif who won this title earlier in 2012.

Asif asked the people of Pakistan to support them as their back will help them compete strongly in the event. “As always the support from people make us strong. Their support gives us immense confidence,” he said.

Babar Masih, another contestant from Pakistan in the event, is optimistic for achieving worthy results for his country in the event.

“It is always an honor to represent Pakistan. I will try to give my best in the tournament,” he said.

“Such events are very important to us as we come across some world’s top-class quests. Our aim is to dominate the opponents,” he added.

It is pertinent to mention here that four quests including Asif, Babar, Zulfiqar Abdul Qadir and Mubashir Raza will represent Pakistan in the extravaganza. The tournament will run from October 29 to November 9.
