Pakistan’s environment conducive for sports says ‘Amir Khan’


Islamabad: World famous Pakistani origin British boxer Amir Khan says Pakistan’s environment is conducive for sports and its our desire that the next world boxing championship takes place in Pakistan.

While speaking at an occasion in Islamabad held in the memory of Army Public School (APS) martyrs, boxer Amir Khan said whenever I visit Pakistan I feel extremely delighted and satisfied. I can see tremendous potential in the Pakistani youth and I expect the next world boxing champion to be from Pakistan. He said if the government provides proper facilities and excellent training to youngsters, the Pakistani players will not only bring fame to the country but can also become world champions.

Amir Khan said I am personally taking interest and utilizing all facilities available to promote boxing in Pakistan and very soon I plan setting up a boxing academy for the youngsters, I will always remain connected and my services will be available in future also. He said the environment for sports in Pakistan is favorable and we expect the next world boxing championship to take place in Pakistan.

On this occasion Amir Khan mixed up with the students for a training demo and gifted boxing gloves amongst them. He said the purpose of this training is to pay my tribute to the students of APS. I also pay my tributes to the teachers and students who were martyred during the sad incidence.
