Pakistan’s Hamza Khan clinches British Junior Open squash championship

Pakistan’s young champ Mohammad Hamza Khan has clinched British Junior Open squash championship by defeating his counterpart Yousuf Sheikh in the U15 final.

Hailed from Peshawar, Khan outclassed England’s Shiekh within 16 minutes of the game. He defeated his opponent by winning three straight sets by the scores of 11-4, 11-3, and 11-7 respectively.

This championship victory by Hamza regained British title for Pakistan after almost 12 years. In 2012, Israr Ahmed last won the championship for Pakistan.

On a splendid achievement, Khan expressed his feelings via a video message from Birmingham in which he thanked his supporters and dedicated this win to the entire nation.

“I am really happy to win this championship for Pakistan. I am looking forward to being back here in the U17 category,” he said.
