Pakistan’s table tennis team to leave for Asian Championship tonight


Karachi: Pakistan’s seven-member team will leave tonight for Doha, Qatar to participate in the Asian Table Tennis Championship.

Pakistan side is already out of the team event after a delay in Non-Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB).

They will now only participate in singles and doubles events. They will start their campaign from October 1 after finishing their quarantine.

The players include Mohammad Rameez, Fahad Khawaja, Mohammad Shah Khan, Perniya Zaman, Haiqa Hasan, Sanam Yasin. Syed Matin Ahmed is the Head of Delegation of National Squad

It must be noted here that this event will also serve as the qualification for the 2022 World Team Championship.
