Pakistan’s young female leggie Aroob Shah wants to meet Shane Warne

The 16-year-old Syeda Aroob Shah, young leg-spinner of Pakistan’s women team, wants to meet his idol, the great Australian leg-spinner Shane Warne.

“I follow one of the greats of the game and former Australian leg-spinner Shane Warne. I would love to meet him if I get a chance,” Aroob revealed her wish during a presser in Karachi during the ongoing National Triangular T20 Women’s Cricket Championship.

The young cricketer caught limelight when she made her ODI and T20I debut against England in the recently concluded series in Malaysia. Her dedication and focus collected praise from the English cricketers.

“I played my first international series at a young age for which I am proud of. England cricketers praised me, especially Danielle Wyatt shared some experience with me which helped me a lot,” Aroob said who took two wickets each in both the formats.

On the other hand, Aroob thanked her parents for standing by her every time. “My early success is due to my parents who supported me throughout. I will work more hard to make my parents and country proud,” she concluded.

It must be noted here that Aroob is representing PCB Challengers in National Triangular T20 Women’s Cricket Championship. She will be in action when Challengers will take on PCB Blasters in the final of the event.
