PCB advises Pakistan team to remain ‘extra cautious’

Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has released an official statement after seven positive COVID-19 cases emerged in England camp ahead of the ODI series.

PCB opined that they have been in contact with England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) regarding concerns about the health and safety of its players.

“The PCB is satisfied by the assurances and guarantees provided by the ECB on behalf of its medical panel, and feels comfortable with the existing protocols that have been put in place to ensure all the Pakistan players and player support staff remain safe and secure throughout the duration of the series.”

“The PCB has also been in touch with its team management and has advised them to exercise extra caution while in the hotel or at the match venue.”

It must be noted that England have named revised squad for the ODI series. Ben Stokes will lead the World Champions with nine uncapped included in the 18-member squad.
