Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has appointed Haroon Rasheed as the Director Cricket Operations on Monday.
Haroon Rasheed was a part of PCB’s damage control after Pakistan’s disastrous run in the World T20 2016, he was the chief selector then and the selection committee was disbanded after the head coach Waqar Younis submitted his report.
PCB removed Pakistan’s head coach Waqar Younis, dissolved the national selection committee and replaced Shahid Afridi with Sarfraz Ahmed as the captain of the side.
Soon after the 64-year old was sacked from his post, there were speculations that he may return to the board in capacity the Director Cricket Operations as he has been close to some of the senior officials of the board.
The man has been associated with the board in different roles for some time now.
