Karachi: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is aiming to buy advanced technology for the betterment of pitches in the country, ARY News reported.
According to the details, PCB will issue a tender soo to buy advanced technologies. PCB is considering buying Cregg Hammer which is an advanced instrument used to evaluate better ball bounce and pace on pitches.
Moreover, Pogo Meter will also be bought which will help in Pogo Meter which will be used for testing grass & pitch moisture. As many as six advanced kits will be bought for six cricket centres in the country.
On the other hand, a number system has been introduced to calculate the number of matches played on a single pitch. The quality of pitches will be made better particularly for all three formats of the game. Meanwhile, PCB is also looking forward to making sure the construction of a new pitch every offseason.
