PCB Challengers beat PCB Blasters in Triangular Women’s Cricket Championship


Diana Baig’s five-for went in vain as PCB Blasters lost to PCB Challengers by 74 runs in their match of the Triangular One Day Women’s Cricket Championship on Thursday.

Diana Baig starred the show with outstanding figures of 5-28 but her team couldn’t accelerate with the bat while chasing 245 runs.

PCB Challengers while batting first posted 245-9 with help of Nida Dar (88) and Muneeba Ali (73). Nida struck nine boundaries and a six while Muneeba guided the ball to the boundary four times.

Apart from Diana, Aliya Riaz bagged two wickets conceding 48 runs.

In reply, PCB Blasters managed to score only 171 runs losing all of their wickets. Javeria Rauf with 32 runs was the highest run scorer for PCB Blasters.

Anam Amin took three scalps while right-arm fast bowler went onto taking two wickets conceding 15 runs.
