PCB congratulates Kohli's 'monumental effort'

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) congratulated Indian skipper, Virat Kohli on becoming the fastest batsman to reach 10,000 runs in ODI cricket on Wednesday.

PCB tweeted to hail the ‘monumental effort’ of arch-rivals’ captain Virat Kohli, who scored his 37th ton in 50-over cricket on his way to 10,000 runs.

Kohli, who made his ODI debut for India on August 18, 2008, against Sri Lanka at Dambulla, bettered the record of Indian batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar reaching there in 205 innings, in contrast of his 259 innings.

The other prominent performers have been Saurav Ganguly, Ricky Ponting and Jacques Kallis who have scored 10,000 runs in 263, 266 and 272 innings respectively.
