PCB advertised for the vacancy of the head coach after Waqar Younis resigned from the position after Pakistan’s debacle in Asia Cup and the World T20.
The last date to apply for the post was 25th April, the board received applications from the foreign candidates as well as Mohammad Akram and Aaqib Javed.
Peter Moores and Mickey Arthur were the frontrunners to hold the position, but, Moores turned down PCB’s offer. However, there are fair chances of hiring a foreigner or a local candidate as well.
