PCB to find new cricket committee’s chief as Wasim Khan resigns

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is looking forward to appointing a new chairman for their cricket committee after Cheif Executive Wasim Khan left this post.

According to the PCB, the new chairman of the cricket committee will be a former cricketer and his appointment will be made official in the first week of January. The next meeting of the committee is also scheduled in the same month.

The chairman of the PCB Ehsan Mani said that they are going to revamp the structure of the cricket committee which keeps independent status. “I think this committee will help us find a solution. It has an independent status and I hope it will work positively for Pakistan’s cricket ahead,” he said.

Earlier, former Test cricketer Misbah-ul-Haq also resigned from this committee to take charge of the national team as head coach, chief selector and batting coach.

It must be noted here that the concept of the cricket committee was brought up by Mani and his new set-up in the PCB. The committee was assigned to give suggestions to the board on cricket matters.
