The tape-ball indoor cricket championship organized by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), commenced on Wednesday at PCB headquarters.
The teams featuring eight players each played exciting matches while representing their schools.
The young girls think that these types of opportunities will help them nourish their talent and also to prove their mettle.
One of the girls wished to represent Pakistan on the International level and to bring several awards for her country.
“I am a cricket enthusiast and want to represent my country while playing International tournaments,” she said.
It is pertinent to mention here that the tournament is a part of PCB’s Women Wing under Vision 2022 will be hosting two Indoor Schools Cricket events during the year 2018-2019. The second tournament of the year is planned to be played in Karachi.
The talented girls will be shortlisted from these exciting events and will be nurtured through Women Cricket Development Pathway Programs.
PCB’s women wing plans to replicate this event in different parts of the country as a part of their campaign vision 2022.
