Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is ready to investigate left-handed openening batsman Nasir Jamshed with the consent of UK authorities for his alleged involvement in Pakistan Super League (PSL) spot-fixing saga.
Jamshed earlier said in a video message that he is ready to cooperate with the board in further investigation of the ongoing case but after British National Crime Agency is done with their investigation.
A PCB source told Dawn News that NCA has no issue with board’s inquiry with Nasir Jamshed in PSL spot fixing scandal simultaneously.
The 27-year old batsman is accused of asking the players to meet bookies, he was arrested for his act along with another man in the UK, but was later released on a bail.
Jamshed has been provisionally suspended from all forms of cricket by the PCB since the controversy broke out.
PSL being a successful league, has been an attraction for bookies from all around the world. PSL chairman, Najam Sethi earlier told that he was aware that bookies will try to damage the image of the league after its successful inaugural season.
