Pakistan Cricket Board has invited 12 talented young cricketers to the National Cricket Academy for a high performance camp with a motive of polishing their skills and establish back up players for the current lot.
“The aim of this camp is to prepare a back up for the current squad,” said PCB Director Academies, Mudassar Nazar. “We will try to hone their skills during the camp.”
It is the third stage of the camp, in the first round U-16 players were trained, while the second round featured U-19 cricketers of the country.
The third stage of the camp will have promising cricketers from all round the country including the aggressive fast bowlers Musa Khan and Haris Rauf.
Moreover, Umer Khan, Ahsan Jameel Mirza, Arshad Ullah, Zahid Mehmood, Mohammad Jalal, Mohammad Asad, Mohammad Amir Hussain, Faisal Akram, Arshad Iqbal, Aakif Javed will attend the high performance camp.
The young pace sensation, Muhammad Hasnain was also asked to attend the camp, but he will miss the camp due to his commitment with Trinbago Knight Riders in the Caribbean Premier League.
The two-week high performance camp at the NCA will kick off from August 23.
