The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) invited Australian team to play at least two one day matches during five-match ODI series scheduled in the United Arab Emirates from March 19 to 31 next year.
PCB’s newly appointed Managing Director Wasim Khan on Thursday said that they are trying hard to convince Cricket Australia (CA) to send their team to Pakistan to play at least two one day matches.
He said that it is hard but not impossible to convince Australian board because if their government allows them they will be traveling to Pakistan.
Khan revealed that they are also roping in Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) to travel to Pakistan which will play an important role to revive international cricket in Pakistan.
He said that they have assured the Australian board for foolproof security hence they are taking interest in this proposal and will give their final verdict by the second week of January next year.
It is pertinent to mention here that earlier the PCB sent a similar proposal to CA before their recently concluded home series against Aussies in the UAE, which they turned down.
