The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued a show-cause notice to Muhammad Sami after receiving information that the fast bowler has been involved in spot-fixing.
Sami, who plays for Islamabad United in PSL, has been called in by the board’s Anti Corruption Unit (ACU) for questioning in light of allegations of spot-fixing.
Over the past year, PCB has taken action against a number of players for involvement in spot-fixing which includes Mohammad Irfan, Sharjeel Khan, and Khalid Latif.
Opener Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif have already been suspended by the PCB for five years after the tribunal found them guilty of playing a role in the spot-fixing, while Mohammad Irfan was suspended in March in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) spot-fixing scandal.
Irfan was suspended for six months for failing to report a solicitation from two bookies during the PSL tournament.
