Peshawar: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ehsan Mani is confident that they will host the Pakistan Super League (PSL) sixth edition matches in Peshawar.
Ehsan who paid a surprise visit to Arbab Niaz Stadium which is under construction is hoping that the venue will be ready before the PSL in 2021.
“Once PSL matches will be played here (Peshawar) than the international cricket would also be played here,” he said while talking to media.
The stadium previously had the capacity for only 14,000 people but after the renovation, it can gather around 35,000 people.
The expansion of the Stadium will cost Rs1.7 billion as the design has been inspired by iconic Dubai Cricket Stadium. 141 million will cost for the pavilion renovation, 90 million for the electronic board, 179 million for hostel block.
It must be noted that Arbab Niaz Stadium hosted an international match back in 2006 between Pakistan and India.
