PCB plans to organize camp for emerging teams


Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to set up a three-month camp for enhancing the capabilities of the emerging players.

According to sources, In the camp, players from the Under-19 team and prominent performers of Quaid-e-Azam Trophy will take part.

National emerging and Junior Team coach Ijaz Ahmed has advised to set up the camp and he will also observe the camp.

The camp will be set up after the U-19 World Cup. Pakistan Junior and Emerging teams are expected to visit Australia, New Zealand and South Africa next year.

Pakistan Under-19 cricket team will take part in theĀ 2020 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup scheduled to be held in South Africa from 17 January to 9 February 2020. Pakistan Under-19 are placed in Group C along with Bangladesh, Scotland, and Zimbabwe.

Recently Pakistan’s emerging team won the Emerging Asia cup 2019 beating Bangladesh in Final by 77 runs.
