Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) rubbished media reports that Misbah-ul-Haq has not fully recovered from the hamstring injury he picked during ODI series against New Zealand and said that Misbah is fully fit and will play in World Cup 2015.
Reports in a section of media surfaced that Misbah might not be able to lead Pakistan during World Cup 2015 as he has not been fully recovered from the hamstring injury.
“Misbah has fully recovered and we all have seen him in high spirits before he left for New Zealand on Tuesday. The reports are not true,” PCB spokesman told ARYNEWS.TV.
Misbah missed three of the five matches against New Zealand in UAE last month due to a hamstring injury. He also didn’t played in domestic tournament Pentangular Cup. However, he has participated in practice sessions and has been deemed fit by the board.
