PCB sell PSL’s broadcast, live-streaming rights

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Friday sold broadcasting and live-streaming rights of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) to the Blitz Advertising and Techfront from 2019 to 2021.

According to the PCB, this time the rights have been sold out 358 percent more than the previous three years with an aim to build the image of Pakistan’s only cricketing league. The actual prize is kept confidential.

The board is yet to finalize the airing rights of local and foreign sports channels. The details will be released soon.

The PCB chairman Ehsan Mani said that it is overwhelming to have Blitz Advertising and Techfront on board for the fourth consecutive year.

“The board had a great time with them and looking forward to making the PSL more bigger and better,” he said.

According to Mani, they have exceeded their targets for the new HBL PSL broadcast and live-streaming rights and it is a huge bonus for them financially.

“We have successfully exceeded our targets for the new HBL PSL broadcast and live-streaming rights,” Mani stated.

It is pertinent to mention here that the PSL is all set to take place with a glittering opening ceremony on February 14 at Dubai International Stadium. Eight matches, in the end, will be hosted by Karachi and Lahore. The Grand Finale will be played on March 17 at National Stadium, Karachi.
