PCB starts inquiry to examine Umar Akmal’s fitness dispute

Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has started an inquiry after National Cricket Academy (NCA) coaching staff registered a charge about Pakistan middle-order batsman Umar Akmal inappropriate behavior.

According to details, the PCB has constituted a three-member inquiry committee headed by Haroon Rasheed, which includes Dr. Sohail Saleem and a member of the PCB legal panel.

Akmal appeared on Tuesday and gave his initial statement regarding the matter in front of the inquiry committee.

After the first hearing, the committee has also called the trainer and video analyst. Akmal will appear again today in front of the committee.

It must be noted that last week, sources claimed that during the fitness test, Umar in anger took off his shirt and asked the trainer “Show me the fat in my body”? During the act by the batsman, NCA and Pakistan team management staff were also present.
