PCB suspends Mohammad Nawaz, imposes fine

Pakistan’s promising young allrounder, Mohammad Nawaz has been suspended for two months and has been slapped with a fine of Rs. 0.2 million by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for concealing his meeting with a bookie from the board.

As per reports, Mohammad Nawaz was allegedly approached on Australia tour by bookies, he did not commit any corruption, but failed to communicate it to the concerned authorities.

As a result, he has been suspended for one month for breaching Anti-Corruption code of conduct Article 2.4.4 that deals with reporting any approach by corrupt person. The other month suspension is a sentence from the board.

The suspension has commenced from May 16, 2017.
