PCB takes control of illegally occupied LCCA Ground

Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has taken the control of the Lahore City Cricket Association (LCCA) Ground, ARY Sports reported.

The ground is spread across 51 kanals of land and is situated near Gaddafi Stadium. It was illegally occupied by a club.

The ground was taken back from the club and now has been handed over to the PCB after an operation took place under Lahore’s Deputy Commissioner Mudassar Riaz Malik.

Meanwhile, the nets will be closed due to the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season six matches. The ground will be part of the bio-secure bubble as the teams will train here. PCB officials will provide alternative venues for clubs where they can continue to train.

Note, PCB had requested the district government to provide LCCA ground as it was taken over by a club after dissolution of LCCA.
