PCB in talks with Younis Khan for national team’s batting consultant


Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is having talks with former Test cricketer Younis Khan to become the batting consultant of the national team. 

According to ESPNcricinfo, PCB wants to rope in Khan as full-time head of the High-Performance Centre (HPC) in Karachi alongside Pakistan’s batting consultant.

Reportedly, PCB is constantly trying to get Khan in coaching set-up of the cricket board. PCB high-ups initially want Khan to serve as HPC head in Karachi.

Earlier, following Khan’s Test records, PCB appointed him as the batting coach for England tour in summer this year. Khan joined a star-studded support staff that included Waqar Younis (bowling coach), Mushtaq Ahmed (spin-bowling coach) and Misbah-ul-Haq (Head Coach).
