PCB Whites score 231-8 on Day 1 against PCB Greens


Derbyshire: Mohammad Rizwan finished not out for 41 off 116 as PCB Whites scored 231-8 on Day 1 against PCB Greens in an intra-squad practice match.

Led by Babar Azam, PCB whites started off well with their openers Imam-ul-Haq and Shan Masood who scored 92 runs together. Imam notched 41 runs off 134 balls with the help of five boundaries whereas Shan scored 42 off 86.

Wickets of the openers put pressure on the batting side as they were reduced to 163-5 in 63 overs. Skipper Babar scored only 12 runs while Haider Ali and Fawad Alam made 21 and 24 runs respectively.

Rizwan, at the end of the day, scored 41 runs to support the team’s score. The right-handed batsman scored four boundaries.

Mohammad Abbas and Naseem Shah bagged three wickets each for PCB Greens. Leg-spinner Yasir Shah took two for 40.
