Left-handed batsman Hussain Talat’s 80 runs went in vain as Lahore Regions Blue lost to Peshawar by seven wickets in the National T20 Cup at Multan Stadium on Saturday.
For Peshawar, it was Saad Ali who scored 57 runs off 38 balls which helped them chase the target with ease.
Talat played brilliantly scoring 80 runs off 51 balls after Lahore B were invited to bat first. Nauman Anwar also made a worthy contribution to his team’s total scoring 23 runs including two boundaries.
Imran Khan Sr bagged two wickets conceding 20 runs while Sajid Khan took a wicket for Peshawar.
In reply, Saad Ali accelerated the inning of Peshawar with striking eight boundaries and two sixes. Mohammad Mohsin with the help of a boundary and two sixes scored 35 runs.
Mohammad Irfan and Bilal Khan shared one wicket each.
In another match of the day, Lahore Regions White defeated FATA by seven wickets. FATA while batting first posted 132-9 on the scoreboard. Adil Amin smashed 41 runs off 29 balls. Ammad Butt bagged two wickets for Lahore W.
Salman Butt played captain’s knock scoring 44 runs laced with five boundaries which made the chase an easy task for Lahore W. Umar Akmal made 29 runs.
Adil Amin and Kashif Bhatti took a wicket each conceding four and 25 runs respectively for FATA.
