The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has announced 30 players for a training camp ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2022 Qualifiers.
The national football team captain Saddam Hussain along with aqib Hanif, Ahsanullah, Tanveer Mumtaz, Muhammad Faheem, Muhammad Umar Hayat, Arsalan Ali, Naveed Ahmed, Mehdi Hasan, Ali Khan Niazi, Muhammad Shahid, Waseem Asghar, Muhammad Bilal, Umair Ali, Mehmood Khan, Zainulabideen, Rajab Ali, Zaid Umar, Ali Uzair, Habib ur Rehman, Muhammad Riaz, Izharullah, Razik, Mansoor, Yousaf Ahmed, Ahmed Fahim, Muhammad Naeem, Shahzad, Iftikhar, Sohail have been asked to repart at Jinnah Satdium Islamabad on May 5.
The training camp will be headed by Pakistan’s former footballer Tariq Lutfi who has been appointed as the new coach for the team for the upcoming mega event.
The players are required to bring complete training kit, original passport (validity 10 months minimum) and medical fitness certificate and reports (ECG, CBC, Hepatitis B, and C).
The team management will work with the players to make them strong for the event where the green shirts will take on Cambodia in their first away contest on June 5. Pakistan will host Cambodia on June 11. The training camp will run till June 3.
It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan is lined up to play Australia, Japan, and Qatar on home and away basis. The tournament will play an important role for the team to qualify for the FIFA World Cup 2022 and Asia Cup.
