Pakistan’s veteran allrounder, Shahid Afridi shined bright in Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) as he claimed the Man of the Match award in his second match of the tournament for his formidable bowling performance.
In the match against Khulna Titans, the 36-year old took four wickets against just 12 runs in three overs that he bowled. His wicket tally included three bowled and an LBW.
He was amazingly supported by Bangladeshi spinner, Arafat Sunny, who took three wickets without conceding a single run in the 2.4 overs he delivered in the match. Khulna were all out for just 44 runs.
Shuvgata Hom was the highest scorer for them with just 12 runs, no other batsman could manage a score in double figures.
In reply, Shahid Afridi’s Rangpur Riders chased the target at a cost of 1 wicket in 8 overs.
Junaid Khan was the wicket taker for Khulna Titans. Mohammad Shahzad scored 13 runs, while Soumya Sarkar and Mohammad Mithun remained not out on 13 and 15 runs respectively.
Afridi bowled a phenomenal spell in his first outing of the BPL against Chittagong Vikings as well where he bowled four overs just for 12 runs and took a wicket as well.
