PHF announces 18-member squad for Junior Hockey World Cup

KARACHI: Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) announced an 18-member squad to feature in the Junior Hockey World Cup, which is to be played in India from 8 to 18 December.

Ammad Butt has been given the captaincy band for the event and Mohammad Dilbar is named as the vice-captain of the team.

Pakistan is placed in Group B of the tournament along with Netherlands, Belgium and Egypt. The young Men in Green will face the Dutchmen in their first group game on December 10 and will take on Egypt on 11.

Pakistan will play their last group match against Belgium on December 12.

Completed squad of Pakistan:

Ammad Butt (Captain), Mohammad Dilbar (Vice captain), Ali Raza, Muneeb-ur-Rehman, Atif Mushtaq, Ahsan Anwar, Mubashir Ali, Abu Bakar Mehmood, Mohammad Junaid Kamal, Faizan, Taazeem-ul-Hassan, Shan Irshad, Azfar Yaqoob, Mohammad Atiq, Bilal Qadir, Mohsin Sabir, Sohail Riaz and Samiullah.
