PHF might appoint foreign coaches for junior hockey team: Asif Bajwa


Lahore: Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) secretary Asif Bajwa has stated that if the federation will have funds so they can take the services of foreign coaches.

“Foreign coaches can also be hired if PHF has funds for this,” Asif said while talking to media.

Former Olympian added that currently with the Pakistan junior team, top coaches have been appointed who are working with different departments.

“Top coaches who are associated with different departments are working with the current Pakistan junior side,” he added. “Coaching in today’s era has become a full-time job,” he concluded.

It must be noted that Pakistan’s junior team training camp is underway in Lahore for Junior Asia Cup. 60 players have been called in the camp.

Danish Kalim is the Head Coach, Mohammad Imran, Mudassar Khan, and Rana Zaheer are part of the side as Assistant Coaches. Abid Amin is serving as a physio and nutritionist.
